Clubs

At PS41, students have access to a range of enrichment opportunities beyond the classroom. Some clubs are led by our passionate faculty, while others – like our nationally ranked Chess Team – are run by external experts in partnership with the school. These programs allow students to build confidence, explore new interests, and grow within a supportive community.

  • Math club

    Math Club (Grades 4-5)

    Led by PS41 faculty, Math Club challenges students to solve complex problems in a collaborative and fun environment. Monthly competitions between students and teachers add excitement, build confidence, and strengthen problem-solving skills.

  • Run club

    Run Club (Grades 3-5)

    Run Club meets before school and focuses on health, movement, and personal goal-setting. Students start their mornings with running games, endurance-building activities, and the option to participate in NYRR races and citywide track meets.

  • Chess team

    NY Knights Chess Team

    PS41’s Chess Team is one of the top-rated scholastic teams in the country. Students receive expert instruction and have the opportunity to compete in local, state, and national tournaments. Whether your child is new to chess or looking to level up, the program promotes strategic thinking, focus, and sportsmanship.
