School Leadership Team (SLT)
PS41’s leadership team is dedicated to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and high-achieving school community. Together, they guide our vision for academic excellence, equity, and whole-child development.

New York State Education Law requires every NYC public school to establish a School Leadership Team (SLT). The SLT is responsible for developing the school’s Comprehensive Educational Plan (CEP) and creating a budget that ensures sufficient resources are allocated to support and implement the school’s educational priorities.
At PS41, our SLT plays a key role in aligning educational policy with the needs of our students and families. Parents and guardians are encouraged to share their perspectives with SLT representatives, either at PTA meetings or by emailing SLT@ps41.org, so that all voices in our community are heard and represented.

The UFT Chapter Leader
An equal number of elected parent/guardian and staff representatives
SLT members serve two-year terms, with parent/guardian representatives elected each spring by the PS41 parent body. Participation requires time, dedication, creativity, and collaboration—but provides an invaluable opportunity to help shape decisions that impact teaching and learning at our school.

Meetings
The SLT meets monthly in Room 230. To help ensure all parent and guardian voices are represented in decisions that shape educational policy at PS41, families are encouraged to share their input with SLT representatives, either at PTA meetings or by emailing SLT@ps41.org.
